# CPU and VPS issue

I am going to rent VPS which has CPU 3.5GHz. Now I’m using CPU.16V.64G but the CPU is only about 2GHz.
3 questions:
1. Which processor model is used for your CPU only VM flavor?
2. What is the base frequency and boost frequency? Are the vCPUs dedicated or shared?
3. Is the 3.5GHz guaranteed under sustained load or only peak burst?

Hello,
The CPU you get varies between sties andd also within sites. At the moment we don’t have a way to limit deploys of instances to a certain kind.
Some CPU servers run EPYC 9655 as visible in `lscpu` from inside the VM.
The vCPUs are pinned and not shared. We use host-passthrough for the CPU.
